The Airport Road runs southeast from Dubai city centre on the east side of The Creek (Al-Khor). From the south, cross Al-Khor at Al-Garhoud Bridge and drive north, then turn right at the intersection with the Airport Road.
Taxi: Public transport service is very efficient in and around Dubai. Dubai Transport taxis are available 24 hrs a day in the city and at the Arrivals Terminal. Bus service: Bus stations are located opposite both terminals. Bus nos 4, 11, 15, 33, 44 connect with Terminal 1 while bus no 2 connects with Terminal 2 connects with Terminal 2.Special Dubai International Airport Buses have also been introduced which provides custom-built air-conditioned buses with ample baggage hold.These buses serve the most popular corridors in the city center with over 80 hotels and furnished apartments within easy walking distance. The bus service targets both residents and tourists.
Car park A: 10 Dhs/ hr. Car park B: 5 Dhs/ hr. Long term parking rates apply only in Car park B at the rate of 5 Dhs/hr or 120 Dhs/day from day 1 to day 10, 75 Dhs/day from day 11 to day 90. Dhs 1000/- will be charged as a fine if it exceeds the mentioned 90 days with parking charges. And in car park A at the rate of Dhs 10/- per hour and 24 hours charges will be Dhs 240/- for the first day, 2nd day onwards Dhs 200/- per day up to 30 days. Dhs 1000/- will be charged as fine if t exceeds the mentioned 30 days. Season car park pass available, subject to approval. Car park A: Dhs 14,600/year. Car park B: Dhs 9,000/year.
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai (DTCM) desk is available upon Arrivals after clearing customs. Tourist information, maps and sightseeing tours can be organised from here.
Special Lounge
A dedicated lounge for unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs is available in the Arrivals Hall. Those waiting to receive such passengers can do so here. Airline staff or ground handling staff will bring the arriving passengers to this lounge.

Inaugurated on May 1st 1998, to alleviate congestion from Terminal 1, Terminal 2 caters to point to point, scheduled, charter, executive and special interest flights such as Haj. Situated to the North of Terminal 1, and accessed from Al Towar Road (Galadari roundabout) and Rashidiya, the new spacious single story building is designed to ensure the comfort of passengers. Spacious and user-friendly with a total area of 12,000 square metres including 9,000 square metres of passenger processing facilities. Capacity for arriving and departing passengers is 500 and 1000 per hour respectively. Transfer of transit passengers between Terminal 1 and 2 takes 10 minutes.

Lounges
First Class Lounge: The DCA 1st class lounge is situated between Gates 11 and 9. Passengers can avail of a wide choice of food and beverages here. Rooms with shower facilities, luggage storage, work-stations are some of the additional facilities available here.
Business Class Lounge: All passengers irrespective of their class of travel can use the Department of Civil Aviation Lounges. The DCA Business Class lounge is located beside Gate 8. The lounge offers rooms by the hour with shower facilities. DIA Launches Region’s First Flight Information Voice Portal - November 21, 2006
DUBAI – Dubai International Airport added yet another first to its long list of pioneering services with the launch of the world's first flight information voice portal during Gitex 2006. The ultramodern speech recognition system replaces the old touch-tone IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, and for the convenience of users is available on the existing phone number for flight information (04 216 66 66).
Following its launch at the exhibition, the Arabic-English bilingual IVR was flooded with calls – both from regular ‘genuine’ enquirers seeking information on flights and the curious users who just wanted to check how it worked. In the first 24 hours of its launch the system handled over 16,000 calls.
Yousuf Al Shaibani, Customer Relations General Manager at Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), said the new flight enquiry will provide callers, in the shortest possible time, the latest information on airline schedules for incoming and outgoing flights at Dubai International Airport. “The system has a friendly interface and boasts of rapid navigation techniques making flight enquiry easy and quick. The fact that it recognises a wide range of accents and dialects makes it very appropriate for a city with the cultural diversity of Dubai,” he said.
Al Shaibani revealed that at a later stage the new system will be followed by Auto Attendant and Passenger Announcement System in the second and third phase of the project, making it the first of its kind worldwide. At this stage the system will become operator-free, and fully automated. It will not require human guidance or intervention except for the purpose of monitoring.
“The implementation of this system is another first for Dubai International Airport, but most importantly it is a public facility which is state-of-the-art yet easy to use, convenient and quick. It is a milestone for the Airport, both technologically and in terms of customer service, and am sure it will be a very popular service,” Al Shaibani said.
