Taipei - Introduction

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) formerly Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, also known simply as Taoyuan Airport or C.K.S. Airport, is an international airport located in Taoyuan County, Taiwan, Republic of China in northern Taiwan.

It is one of three Taiwanese airports with regular international flights, and is by far the busiest international air entry point amongst them. It is the home base for China Airlines and EVA Air, both of which operate a major hub at this airport.

The airport has two terminals, each with several gates, all fitted with jetways.

China Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai International Airways, and Cathay Pacific are the main international airlines operating from terminal 1.

Terminal 2 sees mainly domestic airlines including EVA Air and China Airlines. Dragonair, United Airlines, Japan Airlines also make use of terminal 2. FedEX, DHL, UPS and China Airlines Cargo are some of the Cargo Airlines that are serviced within the airport.
