Edinburgh's main railway station (Waverly) is in the city centre and can be reached by taxi or bus. From here there are services to Glasgow and a variety of other destinations in Scotland and England. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and city centre.

Public bus services stop outside the UK Arrivals doors on the terminal forecourt.
Airlink 100 to city centre
An express bus service operates frequently to Edinburgh city centre.
First departure from the airport: 04:45
First departure from Waverley Bridge: 04:20
Frequency: Every 10 minutes from early morning until after midnight.
The ticket cost is L3 single, L5 return.
Tickets can be brought from the information desk at International arrivals, from a desk at the bus stop or on the bus itsellf.
The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.
The Airlink 100 service is not running on Christmas Day and has reduced service over the festive period.
On the 31st December, a Sunday service will operate on the 35 service, with last buses running earlier than normal.

Service N22
This service connects Ocean Terminal and South Gyle with the airport, and currently runs every 60 minutes through the night. From January 2007, it will run every 30 minutes through the night.
35 service to Leith
This service, operated by Lothian Buses provides a direct link to RBS World Headquarters Gogarburn, Edinburgh Park and South Gyle business district, Sighthill, Fountainbridge, Scottish Parliament, Palace of Holyrood, and Scottish Executive terminating at Ocean Terminal.
This service runs every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime and every 30 minutes evenings and Sundays. Standard Fares are available from the driver, for example Adult Single Fare is only L1.

Airdirect 747 to Fife
This service, operated by Stagecoach, connects the airport with Inverkeithing Railway station and Ferrytoll Park & Ride in Fife. The service runs every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays. Normal journey times is around 25 minutes.

Edinburgh Shuttle
Edinburgh Shuttle provides a fleet of 7 seater executive mini-buses and runs every 15-30 minutes between the airport and picks up and drops off anywhere within the Edinburgh Shuttle’s City Centre zone. This can be from any address - home, hotel, business or conference venue.

Horsburgh Service to West Lothian
From May 2007, a new half hourly bus service to West Lothian will be operated by Horsburgh. This will connect the airport with Livingston, Broxburn, East Calder, Mid Calder and other communities throughout West Lothian.

By Taxi
Three taxi ranks are in operation at Edinburgh Airport. The fleet of airport private vehicle taxis operate from the eastern end of the terminal building with the city 'black cab' taxi rank available adjacent to the coach park. The third rank is located on the ground floor of the short stay multi storey car park and is available for taxis that have been pre booked.
A typical journey time to the city centre takes around 25 minutes and fares vary according to the distance travelled. Many of the taxis are wheelchair accessible.

A courtesy bicycle parking rack and shelter is located in front of the international arrivals entrance to the terminal, across the forecourt road.
